Distributed, column-oriented, real-time analytics data store.

Druid: A Real-Time Analytics Database

Druid is an open-source project designed to provide a high-performance, real-time analytics database that excels at powering UIs, running operational (ad-hoc) queries, or handling high concurrency. Its main value add is reducing time-to-insight and action, making it an ideal solution for workflows where fast queries and ingest really matter.

Main Features

Druid offers a rich set of APIs (via HTTP and JDBC) for loading, managing, and querying your data. Key features include:

  • Load Data: Load streaming and batch data using a point-and-click wizard to guide you through ingestion setup.
  • Manage the Cluster: Manage your cluster with ease, viewing datasources, segments, ingestion tasks, and services from one convenient location.
  • Issue Queries: Use the built-in query workbench to prototype DruidSQL and native queries or connect one of the many tools that help you make the most out of Druid.

Druid also provides a web console for interacting with the system, allowing users to monitor data loads, manage clusters, and issue queries. Additionally, Druid supports various APIs and protocols, including RDP, SSH, and more.

Getting Started

To get started with Druid, simply follow the quickstart instructions or try out the Docker version. The project also provides a wealth of documentation, including guides on building from source, contributing to the community, and using the web console.

Community

Druid has an active community, with many contributors and users sharing knowledge and expertise through various channels, including Slack, GitHub, and the official project website. Join the conversation and learn more about how Druid can help you achieve your real-time analytics goals!
