Gerbera is an open-source UPnP Media Server that allows you to stream your digital media throughout your home network and listen to/watch it on a variety of UPnP compatible devices. With Gerbera, you can browse and playback your media via your network on all kinds of devices, including TVs, Playstations, Android & iOS phones and tablets.

• Web UI: A tree view of the database and file system allows you to add/remove/edit/browse your media
• Metadata extraction: Extract metadata from MP3, OGG, AAC, M4A, FLAC, wavpack, JPG files (and many more!)

• Automatic directory rescans (timed, inotify)
• User-defined server layout: Based on extracted metadata
• Support for last.fm scrobbing
• On-the-fly video thumbnail generation
• Support for external URLs (create links to internet content and serve them via UPnP to your renderer)
